EPISODE 2: S-TOWN

As I have been listening to S-Town I have noticed a lot of text to world connections. Although John often overexaggerates how awful and corrupt things are in the real world- in a lot of ways he isn’t wrong. In modern days, there are so many awful environmental and political wrongs being done. All of the things John lists out about the environment are true. Whether it be global warming or the increase in extinctions. In todays world, people have very little regard to helping the environment and making a change for the better. Whether it be something big like destroying forests or everyday problems like throwing away one use plastic. On the other hand, Woodstock Alabama is a political parallel to things that are happening in modern times. There are so many scandals with political leader that get pushed under the rug and crimes that get looked over because of the person who did it.
